Do people tell you that you're funny? Are you good at telling a story? Have you always wanted to get on stage and do some stand-up, but the thought of it makes you sweat through your shirt? Jodi Miller can help! As a successful stand-up instructor and coach, she's also a working comic and writer who personally understands the process of finding what material works for you, writing that material to bring out its best comedic potential, and honing your performance skills to bring out the laughs!

Jodi helps each participant work on their own material, as she's done for hundreds of others, so this workshop is perfect for beginners who want to know how get started, and for more experienced performers who want to take their act to the next level, all in a fun place that encourages participants to challenge themselves and support each other.

The workshop includes four 3-hour group classes, three 1-hour private coaching sessions, and a performance - from which each participant will receive a DVD of his/her set.

Jodi Miller is not afraid to push the envelope and in doing so, crowds undeniably give a loving stamp of approval. As an animated, high energy comic that has a unique spin on life, Jodi’s insightful banter and spontaneous, quirky facial expressions create an addictive mix of incredible wit and charm. Jodi has been a veteran of standup at venues such as The Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Ice House for over a decade, and has traveled around the country and around the world entertaining a variety of audiences including our U.S. troops overseas.
Jodi’s innate ability to captivate audiences has landed her appearances on hit shows such as MTV’s The Rob and Big Black as the comedy coach, The Tonight Show, Chelsea Lately, and Comedy Jam: Entertainers with Bryon Allen. She also is a reoccurring guest commentator on CNN's Showbiz Tonight, TV Guide’s Hollywood 411, and the co-host of the award-winning The Damage Report on LA Talk Radio.com. And she is the star of NewsBusted, a weekly internet news show that pokes fun at politics and entertainment.
As an accredited writer, Jodi's credits include the HBO/Cinemax series Co-Ed Confidential, Dark Portal (a supernatural thriller starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Pam Grier), and a currently untitled horror script from the creators of Dirty Deeds. She is the co-author of the "WTF Series" including WTF College?, WTF Work?, and WTF Women? which are featured in bookstores nationwide and on Amazon.com.
