Sketch comedy is probably one of the hardest formats in which to write. Usually, a sketch writer has about five minutes to introduce characters, tell a complete story, be fresh and consistently humorous, and then bring the whole package to a satisfactory and hopefully surprising conclusion.

At ACME, we use what we call the ACME Method: a specific set of tools that allows writers to take what they find funny and translate it into great sketch. Through the use of connecting characters, maintaining truth of scene, and writing solidly in one of the five foundations of sketch, our sketch comedians consistently hit it out of the park with their material.

ACME Comedy Theatre boasts three sketch comedy troupes: the top level ACME Company, the up and comers of the Bravo Company, and ACME's newest performers fresh out of ACME's Comedy School, the Charlie Company.
